Appreciating Your Prayers for Dave's Recovery
On behalf of the Patrick kids… Thank you for your prayers and support!
Thank you for everyone who prayed for our dad while he was battling COVID-19, pneumonia, plus numerous surprise underlying conditions that had most of his organs shutting down at a rapid pace. Miraculously, after we though he was taking his last few breaths, all the numbers on his chart went from “serious condition” to “good condition” in a matter of 2 days and was sent home to complete quarantine and recovery. His road to recover will still be a journey so we ask for your continued prayers. God is not finished with him yet!
It literally happened so fast! :
Thursday, he said his legs were hurting.
Friday his speech was slurring and they rushed him to hospital thinking it was a stroke,
Saturday pneumonia was confirmed,
Sunday COVID was confirmed (asymptomatic), liver was failing, kidneys were only working at 35%, oxygen only at 75, all kinds of stuff was showing up on the chart, and we all thought there would only be a few more breaths until he would be with the Lord.
Monday, his vitals were returning! Oxygen numbers up! Liver at 100%! Kidney percentages rising up!
Tuesday, they were giving him breathing exercises that his “singer’s lungs” adjusted to wonderfully!
Wednesday he was cleared to go home to complete his quarantine!
Thursday he was even cooking his own oatmeal!
Friday, he was able to get his memory moving again with a game of Quirkle!
We ask for your prayers for his continued recovery and self care journey, as well as for our mother’s strength for the care taking role and that she will remain healthy and energized as well!
